Studio nyst is the freelance practice of Nynke Stam. I work at the intersection of design, research and narrative to make complex societal issues tangible and discussable.
With a background in architecture, I use design thinking as one of several tools to translate intangible social and political phenomena into physical experiences, visual language or public conversations, and vice versa.
My work revolves around nuance, dialogue and the space between the black and white. Depending on the question, this can take the form of design research, spatial interventions, artistic expression, societal campaigns, publications or public programming.
I collaborate where possible and work independently where needed.
